Do like an Emerson, Lake and Palmer or Crosby, Stills and Nash thing except with none of the names being the names of band members.
EDIT: So a band with Pi(squiggly n not working on laptop)ata, Elfie and Devo would be called Bass, Omeguz and Morb.
Also, Anderson Council.

For a soft rock band: Mild Sedative

Just got back from seeing "Bad News Bears"... there's a fictitious band in the movie called The Bloodfarts. I thought it was pretty funny.

I was reading The Gunslinger by Stephen King when I came across something about Slow Mutants. It occurred to me that "The Slow Mutants" would be a really cool band name. So... uh... there.

Rainbow Butt-Monkies! Believe it or not, that was the original name of Finger 11.

"Aquarium" is a really good album name. So is "Safety Net".
