Since some of us, including myself, are not quite through with the series yet, I figured I'd provide a thread for people to compare progress with each other. I'm about 25-30 pages into The Drawing of the Three right now.

Sweet! A Dark Tower board! Wish I'd thoughta that...
So you're enjoying it then? I'm re-reading it currently, and I'm about halfway through Wizard and Glass.

I'm liking the second book a lot better... the first one gave me too much of a "somebody's playing with my dick and it ain't me" feeling. I like more straightforward stuff better, but I'm involved enough in the story that I still want to read the rest of it (especially after the reference to one of the best King villains at the end of the first book... can't wait for Legion to show up ).

I'm pretty far into The Wastelands now... it's even better than the last book. Can't wait for Wizard and Glass... as much as Minorei's built it up, it better be good.

Oh, it's good. It's definitely that good. I'm rereading these once I finish the available volumes of Wheel of Time. The very end of the series adds a nearly unpredictable twist. Do read on!

Scythe, you're reading Wheel of Time? What do you think of it so far?

Scythe, you're reading Wheel of Time? What do you think of it so far? It's amazing! I've read up through to Knife of dreams. It's really great stuff, and I got Morb to start reading it too. I think he stopped, but he made it to #5 with naught but praises. Some of the best fantasy I've ever read, no mistaking it!

Cool. I'm still on The Dragon Reborn, and I've heard from other people it goes downhill after the first few books. Good to know someone I trust likes them all.

I can understand a little of where some people are coming from on that; there are some slow moments and the like. There's generally enough happening to keep you interested though. Rand gets a whole lot more kickass as time goes on, and so do Matt and Perrin, for that matter. Most of the female characters remain pretty annoying, with a couple exceptions, but you can decide on that one for yourself.

I checked my library. They actually carry a copy of every book in this series... ...except the first 2.

Well, that sucks. When I get rich and famous from the book I'm writing I'm going to your town and donating a buttload of books to the library.

Well, atleast my library won't have a shortage of adult content and books with scantily dressed elves on the cover. =P
