Yes. It was a spinoff of "Duck Tales", which was a spinoff of Disney's Donald Duck character's uncle, Scrooge McDuck (from the animated version of that Charles Dickens Christmas thing that I can't remember the name of at the moment). Darkwing Duck was the resident superhero of that universe.
