Actually, Belgarath, you left out a few zeros... it's probably more like 34800000000000 times.

Is Eldae at The House of Lore?
Anyway, I voted for the first one. Its my favorite book as well. In the movies, though there are parts of each that I like very well so, it was hard to choose. I prefer beginnings to endings, and I was so disappointed with the end of Return of the King.
The scenes through Moira were so cool! There's something about being underground with untold monsters that's truly spooky. I also enjoyed the happy begining where Frodo was relaxed and cheerful, his character became so tortured and changed, truly a story of self-sacrifice.
And it wasn't even his fault! *Points an accusing finger at Bilbo* Actually going back even farther Isildur could have ended it all. But then of course there would have been no story. hehe

Yeah, the first one was very good. Moria was creepy as hell.

Is Eldae at The House of Lore? As a matter of fact, that's Eldae's site... he just goes by a different name there.

Heh. So could I. And pretty much everyone else who has ever read the books of their own free will. I will say, however, that for condensing a thousand-page or so book into ten hours of film or whatever, Peter Jackson did a good job. Obviously, he could have been truer to the book, but then the movies would be ~5 hr long each at minimum, and tons of viewers would have no idea what was happening. Most people really don't care to see that kind of movie. I myself don't. So you can rip him for some things (why did Aragorn get the sword in the THIRD movie?), but overall you... well, you can, but you shouldn't.
As for my vote, I thought that the third movie was the most impressive.

see, mostly, I'm just ticked about how he randomly added in stuff and replaced people. Time constraints, I can see. Replacing Glorfy with Arwen, and adding in all those extra scenes despite"not having time" for Tom Bombadil and the Scouring, now those crimes are just unforgivable.

The warg battle I can understand, and almost forgive... he wanted another action scene in that movie to keep the pacing up so casual fans wouldn't be bored.
As for all the other crap he added in, I see no justification for it.

I voted for TTT because it's the only one I've seen the most. I do love the 3rd one. But it's the 2nd movie I can quote every line.
