(advances the plot : (OOC: Bass, I'm going to "perform" your character just a tiny bit in this post... if I cross the line into the territory of god moding, let me know and I'll change the post. KO? KO.) *Bass pulls Piñata aside so they can talk in private* Bass: There's something you need to know about the prophecy. Piñata: If it's about Elfie getting married, don't worry, you don't have to tell him. Bass: Actually, it's about the rest of the prophecy. Piñata: There are a lot of things covered there. Bass (pulling out the prophecy): That's what I'm trying to tell you. Look... it's torn at the bottom. Piñata: Why did none of us notice this before? Bass: The prophecy has a conciousness of its own. It's even spoken to me before. Perhaps it didn't want us to notice. Piñata: How many pieces do you thoink we're missing? Bass: I have no idea. That's what worries me... I hate not knowing stuff. *The voice of Kyliki, the Elf girl, interrupts them.* "Human contacts up ahead." Piñata: You're sure they're human? Droids can be built to look human. Kyliki: They might be the rebels Oddveig mentioned, though. Piñata: Lord Brent, didn't you have your own agenda in the city anyway? RoB: As a matter of fact, I did. Piñata: This would be a good time to carry it out, then. Take our escort with you. I don't thoink the rebels would appreciate the fact that these droids are on our side. *RoB and the droids leave* Piñata: All right, let's make contact with the rebels. But be careful... it might be a trap. (OOC: I'll let someone else handle the encounter with Stalin, and the revelation about that parchment he carries.) [Meanwhile, at the harbor...] *Keldae had his forces set up in the buildings across from the battle and target the droids with high-powered sniper rifles. Scythe and Viper were just as surprised as the droids to find out they had an ally. The droids, now caught in a crossfire, were forced to give ground as they were attacked from two sides.*

Elfie: I'll make the contact. This is one area where I'm useful. If they start shooting it's a trap. If they let me by they're friendly. Belgarath: What if they detain you for questioning? Elfie: They won't. Now go hide.
*as the rest of the group hides Elfie makes his way up to the people*
Elfie: Greetings. I'm here to see your commander. Guard: No one is allowed to see the commander. Elfie: Why not? Guard: You could be a spy. Elfie: Is there any way I can prove I'm not? Guard: Not really. Elfie: Then how do you ever let anyone in to see the commander if you have no test as to whether or not someone is a spy? Guard: Usually he comes out to see what the fuss and decides whether or not he trusts the person. Elfie: Is that likely to happen any time soon? Guard: No. Elfie: Why not? Guard: He's sleeping. Elfie: What do you normally do if he's sleeping? Guard: I don't know. It hasn't happened before. Elfie: Well could you wake him up? Guard: No way. I don't want to anger the chief. Elfie: Well what do you do when something is urgent? Guard: He wakes up on his own. Elfie: But this is urgent and he's not waking up now, is he? Guard: Well no... Elfie: And you'll get in trouble if he doesn't find out about something this urgent, won't you? Guard: yes, but listen. I'm sorry, but there's no way I'm waking up the chief. Elfie: What about someone else? Guard: No one in our troop would dare wake the chief. Elfie: Well then how's this for a solution. The chief needs to be told the urgent news or you'll get in trouble, right? Guard: Yes. Elfie: But if you wake him you'll get in trouble, right? Guard: Yes. Elfie: So why don't you let me wake him and tell him? That way he finds out the urgent news so you don't get in trouble, and somebody else wakes him so you don't get in trouble. Guard: I don't know... Elfie: I'm only trying to help out here. Can you see another way to keep yourself out of trouble? Guard: No... Elfie: So trust me. You don't want to get in trouble, do you? Guard: Well no. Elfie: Alright, well then you can just stay up here without worrying about getting in trouble and I'll cover you by relaying the urgent news myself. That way it works out for both of us, okay? Guard: Yeah, that makes sense. Elfie: Good. Thanks for being so helpful and understanding. I won't forget this. Guard: Anytime.
*Elfie walks past the now smiling guard to the command tent*

The battle is well underway. The KET force, now augmented by Keldae's snipers, have forced the droids back from the main harbor and into the city, where the droids are able to find some cover from the snipers. Scythe, Viper, and his entourage are cutting a path through the thickest part of the droid army. A voice crackles in Scythe's headset. "Admiral, I'm in communication with members of the Keldae's forces. they tell me that the droids have set up positions on the roof of one of the taller buildings and are picking off the snipers on the lower rooftops. Their forces will eventually be destroyed if we don't do something." "I'll take care of it. Which building is it?" "It should be just to your right, sir. The black one, very few windows. They've blocked the entrance and collapsed the stairwells and elevators." "I guess I'll just do it the fun way then. Scythe out." "What was that about?" Viper calls to Scythe as he casually cleaves a robot in two with his lightsaber. Scythe replies equally casually, "Droids are on that building's roof taking out the friendly snipers, and I'm going to 'persuade' them to stop. Excuse me for a moment..." With a grunt of exertion, Scythe plunges his metal sword through the steel chest cavity of an opportunistic droid, then whips his other sword around to decapitate another. "Why don't you just use a lightsaber? It takes a lot less effort to cut through solid stuff," comments Viper. "Ah, but you can't do this with laser blades!" Scythe says. He turns and plunges a sword into the side of the black building. Then he pulls himself up and drives his other sword into the building face. In this way, he pulls himself hand over hand up the side of the skyscraper, occasionally hanging by one hand in order to deflect blaster bolts with the other. "Showoff..." mutters Viper as he returns to the business at hand. Minutes later, Scythe pulls himself up and over the edge of the roof. A few moments later, a huge explosion rips off the top 2 floors of the building, sending bits of droids and concrete raining on the streets below. Scythe returns the waves of the appreciative snipers on adjacent rooftops, then begins to make his way back down. (OOC The idea of putting snipers on the roofs was one I would have used if someone else hadn't done it first. Good thinkin' )

Belgarath sits in his hiding spot, watching Elfie approach the guard. Curious on how he plans on getting past, he casts a simple spell that amplifies his hearing.
After listening to the conversation, a large smile spreads across his lips, and when the conversation ends, Belgarath falls over to the ground, laughing hysterically.
"What's so funny?" Bass asks.
"Sorry, I was just eavesdropping in on Elfie and the guard," Belgarath replies, still chuckling. "That man has a gift."
"You have no idea," Bass says, a smile crossing his lips too.

*inside the command tent* Elfie: Stalin, old buddy. Good to see you. Stalin: *wakes and sits up* What do you want? Elfie: Hey it's me, Elfie. Stalin: *glances around* How can I trust you? *grabs for something under his pillow* Elfie: *shows Stalin's lightsaber to him* Because I was smart enough to take your lightsaber before I woke you. Stalin: Anyone could have thought of that. *opens a drawer* Elfie: I also grabbed your communicator. *reveals the communicator that was in the drawer* Stalin: Ha! You're not the real Elfie! You forget the assault rifle in the bed post. *pulls out assault rifle* Elfie: Not true. *opens his hand, letting several bullets fall out of it to the floor* Stalin: Grr. Elfie: I've also cast an Aura of Silence around this room, so shouting won't help you much. Stalin: Good to see you again too. Elfie: One can never be too careful. Stalin: True enough. Remind me to fire whoever was on duty. Elfie: Oh, it's not his fault. He did his best to stop me. *peeks outside to see the sentry waving at him and smiling* Kind of. Let's get going though. There are some people you should meet. Stalin: Sure. Can I have my lightsaber, communicator and bullets back? Elfie: Well here's your lightsaber and communicator, but I never took your bullets. Stalin: *checks his gun* I hate you. Elfie: You'ren't alone on that one, old friend.

Belgarath and Bass are still in hiding, when Elfie emerges from the commander's tent with another person who Belgarath doesn't know. However, upon seeing the new individual, Bass rushes from his hiding spot, and enthusiastically greets the new comer.
"STALIN!" Bass shouts, embracing the commander, "It's been far too long."
"Tell me about it," stalin replies, his mouth stretched into a grin, "neither of you two have changed at all. Where is everybody else?"
"Well, piñata was here just a minute ago..." Bass says, looking around. The group spots piñata emerging from an alleyway, zipping up his pants. He stops as he sees everyone looking at him.
"Oh gimme a break -- STALIN! Is that really you?" piñata exclaims, rushing over to the group, his fly still open.
"In the flesh my old friend," stalin replies, grasping piñata's hand, "Who's the new guy?" stalin asks, referring to Belgarath.
"Allow me to introduce myself," Belgarath starts, cutting off Bass, "I am Belgarath, the prophecy says I'm supposed to be here, so here I am."
"Belgarath? That man is just a legend!" stalin says, his suprise evident.
"Really? I've become a legend have I?" Belgarath smiles. He reaches out his hand at stalin, who begins to float up into the air. Belgarath allows him down after a few moments.
"Well then, that settles that. Elfie, I think you should go see DA, he's been couped up in your lab for ages now. He's helping us develop new weapons to fight the droids...He hasn't had much human contact for awhile." stalin says to Elfie.
"That's probably a good idea. Belgarath, you coming?" Elfie asks.
"But of course. Commander stalin, it's been an honour meeting you." Belgarath says.
With that, Elfie and Belgarath leave the group, off to add yet another member to the ever growing group.

A wild Spastic Chicken was running loose. It was a baby blue spastic chicken..kinda werid for spastic chicken...weird for any chicken i guess. Right before our eyes the spastic chicken changed into a girl. ohkay so it was a baby blue spastic shape shifting chicken. The girls walks into the command tent to find pairs of eyes looking back at her. Others stood in a threatening manner waiting to attack. She holds up her hands as if to ward off an attack. I come in peace *giggles* i've been watching you guys and i just wanted to join your party! So what do you say?...Hey Stalin

-=Bass looks on with a confused look=-
Well that was odd. I've never seen a chicken turn into a girl before. And yet somehow this....whatever it is....strikes me as oddly familiar. She also seems to know your name, Stalin.
Could someone update me on the situation, please? I've been so busy watching tall, dark, and oily over there -=gestures at Karrde=- that I haven't really been paying too much attention as to where exactly we were heading. I know there's a battle going on on the far side of the city between some people whose Essences I can't quite put my finger on and suspectedly some droids, but other than that, I'm lost.

Well, Elfie, Belgarath, Oddveig and Kyliki went off to the eastern quadrant of the city to get DA. RoB took his droids into the northwestern part of the city, where the droid headquarters is, to gather intelligence and hopefully insert some friendlies into the enemy ranks for long-term spying purposes. Viper and some other people whose Force signatures I can't pinpoint have pretty much secured the harbor area in the north, and are now erecting makeshift fortifications and sowing the surrounding area with booby traps. We can use the harbor area as a headquarters, since there are pretty much only friendlies there now. Stalin has come out of hiding to help us kick some metallic ass, and is right over there. (gestures vaguely) Is there anything else you wanted to know?

*Piñata hears a crackle in his ear*
Elfie: I have a question actually. Are these communicators still working? Kyliki: Of course they're working. Elfie: How can you be so sure? Kyliki: Because you were listening in on their conversation. Elfie: Good point. Kyliki: Of course it is. Elfie: Wait. How did you know I was listening in on the conversation? Kyliki: You wouldn't have said "actually" unless you were adding to something you had already heard. Piñata: She's right, and they are working, but how come the other members don't have working communicator? Elfie: We haven't met them yet, so I couldn't recharge the batteries. Piñata: When did you recharge my communicator? Elfie: You wouldn't have noticed. It's a remote function. Kyliki: By remote function he means they're charged with mana, not electricity. Elfie: That's simply not true. Kyliki: Oh, it's not for some of your stuff. I can just detect mana in a few of your devices. Elfie: A very small number of my devices. Kyliki: Yeah, all the ones that you got too frusturated with to finish based purely on science, you big cheater. Piñata: Are you two done? Kyliki: Almost. The static over the communicators are just for effect. He just likes the authenticity. I turned mine off almost as soon as I got it. Piñata: Thanks for the tip Kyliki. Piñata out. Elfie: Hmph. Thanks for ruining my fun. Kyliki: Anytime. Elfie: How did you get one of my commincators anyway? Kyliki: I borrowed it. Elfie: Lovely. Kyliki: Isn't it?

(Well, we're now in Ragbralbur (Elfie's Nation States country), and the party has separated into four groups. The main group consists of Piñata, Stalin, Bass, Wildkarrde, Soulcatcher (Krotos), Ape Killer, Spastic Chicken, Balkasior and an assortment of commandos associated with Stalin. This group is going over the two separate pieces of the prophecy and trying to fit the fragmented information together so it makes sense, as well as deciding how best to go about liberating Ragbralbur from its robotic oppressors (lead by ZX-3, who you might remember if your Star Wars knowledge is as extensive as you've led me to believe). Group two is in the harbor, and consists of Scythe, Viper, Keldae (yes, Keldae88) and Piñata's daughter Aurora, among other NPCs. Their mission is to hold the harbor and surrounding warehouse district, which has already been liberated from the droids. Group three is heading east to recover DA, and consists of Elfie, Belgarath, Kyliki (the Elf girl from the first page, who according to the prophecy is Elfie's future wife), and Oddveig (another NPC, who is sworn to Elfie's service and follows him around like a bodyguard). They'll find DA in Elfie's backup lab, then if all goes well they should return to the main group. Group four consists of Redorblue01, his robot bodyguard Maximillian, and about two dozen battle droids (for those who want to know the exact type of droid, Star Wars-prequel battle droids), who are in the northwest quadrant gathering intelligence about the droid army's capital there. A fifth group, outside the city, consists of several thousand droids that are still loyal to RoB, and have been summoned by him to aid us in the coming battle. They're about a day's march away (in RPG time, not real time). Well, I think that about covers it.)

((OOC: Ok, this I can handle. I think the Wildkarrde is going to like this splitting up deal...makes things easier for him, mwahahahah....er, sorry.))
The Wildkarrde gazed around him at the others of the group, all caught up in their plans. :: pitiful meatlings, they have no clue as to the greater scheme of things. They run around battling these droids, graceless, weak, metal imitations of my race. Soon now, soon all things will fall into place, and these meatling heroes will be introduced to power they can only imagine, willingly or not.::
