Cool, there are a couple of side storylines I'm working on right now that I could probably work him into... either he'll be one of the rebels in Ragbralbur, or the only survivor of Essential Magic, or part of the defense force at The House of Lore. Either way, it'll be easy to add him to the Fellowship and write him a role in the prophecy once we introduce him. |

No problem. And thanks for picking the easiest scenario for me to work into the prophecy, too. As soon as the battle in Ragbralbur is finished and the rest of us are off Phyrexia, I'll take us to EM to collect your character, and then you'll be part of the adventure from then on.

Shweet. I have a few ideas of how eM will have gotten destroyed, in case you want them. Maybe a side storyline to come back to later?

Yeah... I remember posting on the same threads as you on eM... like, twice ever. So I believe that you don't remember me.
As for the ideas of how eM was destroyed:
1) It was split years ago after the assassination of Foretel by mononoke86. eM divided into four main groups: mononoke86's army, Semisleeper's army, Duncan Angelfire's army, and a group of powerful rebels led by Genocide Heart and Heretic. mononoke86 and Duncan Angelfire met in the News & Rumors forum, and after it seemed the battle was nearing an end, Semisleeper's army came in and completely decimated the survivors. Then Genocide Heart and Heretic triggered a bomb trick to destroy Semisleeper, but turned on each other. This left about 20 people alive, and AnimaStone was the only one to survive the long journey back to the Links page (only contact with the outside worlds).
2) Invasion by LK. Took eM by surprise. By the time Foretel started to organize a resistance, it was a lost cause. AnimaStone used his shapeshifting to infiltrate LK's army and then escape.
3) The Grapes awaken. They turn out to actually be malevolent and absorb all of eM. AnimaStone is saved because his constantly shifting subconscious is incompatible to The Grapes.

Okay, those are good... I'm going to try and work with the malevolent grapes thing as a post-destruction scenario because I think it'll be a Mashadar kind of thing then ( Wheel of Time reference, in case you don't know what Mashadar is). The first one I can't work with because Ape Killer decapitated Mono during the war between the Clave and EM about 950 years ago. The thing I had was a bit more impactful on the future of the storyline: Zeles (Soulcatcher4's son, for those who haven't read/participated in the adventure up till now) attacked EM to steal the piece of the Spear of Destiny located there (if you don't know what the Spear of Destiny is, it's the spear that Jesus was stabbed with during the crucifixion... whoever possesses it controls the fate of the world. It was separated into three pieces, which for purposes of this storyline are located at EM, The House of Lore and the hiding place of the traitor Aratar respectively.) The plan for this story is to have Zeles' attack on EM be successful, then have the group intervene to help save The House of Lore, at which point I'll get its admin (Eldae) to come back here and join the adventure (or just godmode his character ;D). Keep in mind that Napoleon and Hitler only had one piece of the Spear. So even one third gives near-unstoppable power to the person holding it. |

An idea: you can tie the two ideas for eM's destruction together. Zeles comes into eM only to find that The Grapes have destroyed everything. They ask the only survivor they find, which happens to be me, what happened. I tell, and Zeles uses a scizophrenic or set of twins (or a relic from someone like Houdini) as a mask [Author's Note: Props to Tim Powers for writing Expiration Date] and takes the Spear of Power fragment, but he leaves The Grapes as they were so that they can be brought up in a crappy sidequest later in the series.

I believe I made Zeles my grandson, didn't I? If he is, then he can be my son, I don't care. Also, I think Bass was refering to the mask thing that you wrote.
