Er...You know what I mean. Some kids would have a problem with being raised by gay parents...So it would be unfair to force them to be adopted by parents they would not like.

I think he's talking about older kids, Elfie. I know a lot of people who want kids think infants are cute, but there are people like me who don't want to deal with the kid's bodily fluids as well.  |

A fair point, but I doubt being raised at an orphange is going to give you the kind of religious backing you need to hate gay people. |

I don't know what kind of orphanages you have up there in Canada, but the one my mom was at when she was little was pure Catholic.  |

I've worked with kids in care, (evil brats threw things!  ) Anyway, they don't care who takes care of them, as long as they are loved. The kids I spoke too just wanted to have a family and they didn't care if it was homosexual or a heterosexual relationship. |

Seems like I'm the only person here this applies to...My mom is a lesbian, and I lived with her from age 6 to 16. I turned out fine...Well, I am a flaming homosexual, but I don't think it's because I was raised in a gay environment. Besides, we didn't spend allot of time with gay men anyway, possibly I was around women way too much and realized how crazy they are! ;D But seriously, I don't think it makes a difference who you're raised by, as long as you are loved. And who cares if kids turn out gay because of it? Is it wrong or bad to be gay? No. So, why is it such an issue for many people? What if kids who are supposed to be gay are raised by str8 people and turn out all messed up because of it? It seems to me that kids raised by homosexuals generally have less problems than those raised by str8s, because gays have a more liberal and open-minded view of most things, which makes life easier for children. Maybe, it's better to be raised by gay people! Worked for me, till my 'other mom' went kinda crazy and I left...Long story...

I read an article not too long ago about homosexuality being genetic. Apparently, it's a gene carried by females but only dominant in males. Like baldness, for example. You can only inherit it from your mother, even though she can't be affected by it. There is no explanation for the existence of lesbians (or bald women, for that matter ) |

I thought it was that the child inherited the gene from the opposite sex parent that made them attracte to a specific sex
e.g
male child -->inherites --> gene from mother which makes attracted to men
femlae child -->inherites--> gene from father which makes them attracted to women.
could be wrong though.
