New rule: If you shout drunken insults at someone, you have a lesson in respect coming to you... so don't complain when players come up into the stands to beat your obnoxious ass, you damn well deserve it. Our society is fucking whiny enough already without people being attention whores and then crying because the reaction they did get wasn't the one they wanted. In fact, a good beatdown is probably in order for every American citizen over the age of 10. It'd teach us not to fuck with other people so much. EDIT: And yes, this is a statement supporting the basketball players who went after a fan. He deserved a hell of a lot worse than he got, and they're getting a bad rap because everyone's priorities are so fucked up they don't realize the jerk had it coming. If they get tried for assault, I hope they plead self-defense... because that's really what their actions boil down to.

New Rule: People shouldn't lower themselves to the level of drunken basketball fans.
*See above, only slanting the other way.

The current British monarchy is the Windsor family. Do you guys at least know the Queen's name? New Rule: The fact that you were asked to pay 1/30th of the taxes paid in Britain because they fought a war on your behalf that put them in debt is not a reason to revolt. Queen Elizabeth II. Even though there have been more than two queens named Elizabeth. New Rule: Elfie shouldn't get to take cheap shots at America every chance he gets, especially when it's over things that happened over 200 years ago. And you know better than that Elfie. That is not why they revolted. I have a book called "an army of principle" that you should read.

And you know better than that Elfie. That is not why they revolted. I have a book called "an army of principle" that you should read. New Rule: When your motto is "no taxation without representation" and you know that the idea of getting their representatives to and from Britain would be a total beaurocratic mess, you are not right in deciding that it is logical for you to not have to pay taxes. You're right though. Pointing out what I feel was a mistake 200 years ago is not helping the situation. I need to focus on raising awareness of what's going right now. New Rule: The idea of hitting a "bullet with a bullet" (Missile Defence Program) is absurd.

Why was my statement "America for you"? I'm curious.

Because you were taking the overrated "moral high ground" in your statement. The reason America gets no respect from other countries is because we let other people walk all over us. Turning the other cheek doesn't work... and you can't really lower yourself to the level of someone whose ass you're beating, either. Technically, you're on top of them. ;D

New rule: Just because the cowboy assholes in the government have too many balls for their own good, that doesn't mean they're representative of the people in any way, shape or form. On an individual, non-governmental basis, a lot of America's problems stem from a nauseating wimpyness.

New Rule: When a group wins the popular vote and control all three branches of government, they're getting pretty close to representing the views of the people.
That's an interesting comment though. How do you consider America's belief in "rugged individualism" to be too wimpy. I guess political correctness would be an example, but there aren't too many I can think of.

That's the first time I've heard the phrase "rugged individualism" in my life. Try visiting America sometime... you'll see that most people are conformists to a nauseating degree. Other examples of American wimpyness: Running to a lawyer every time you get a paper cut. Being "offended" by something, anything, that falls under the protection of the First Amendment is so "in" these days, being offended almost equates to happiness for some people. Using lethal injections to execute people. Fuck humane treatment, the victims certainly didn't get any. As mentioned above, conformity. People are no longer capable of thinking for themselves in this country. Everyone listens to something someone else told them somewhere. Police aren't allowed ANY leeway anymore as far as using force goes. The preferred weapon in America is a gun. Although I'm firmly against gun control from a civil rights standpoint, I consider anyone who shoots someone from a distance without giving them a chance to fight back a pussy coward. Politicians are the most unprincipled in any country. They let organizations and businesses tell them what they believe, which is the height of wimpyness if you ask me.

I'ma throw in my two cents on these, if you don't mind...maybe I'll even add a rule at the end! 1. That's not wimpiness, that's good ol' American greed. 2. Not totally sure what you mean, but I believe that may be along the lines of the political correctness Elfie already mentioned. 3. Agreed. Bullet to skull or knife to throat = more efficient, more fitting, and less expensive. Though ideally we don't execute the people to begin with...I'm sure I've explained my views on this somewhere. 4. Alas, that is humanity. We listen to other's ideas. I do think we have a problem with thinking for ourselves in this country, but the people themselves aren't entirely to blame. We're not exactly encouraged to be free thinkers. 5. This, I think, stems from #2. The police make some mistakes, which happens, but people jump down their throats about it instantaneously, because they are the police. 6. I'll assume you'll make exceptions in cases of home invasion and such. 7. Yes, they are/do, but not as much because they're wimpy as it is because they need the money for campaigning and such. NEW RULE: Politicians needs to stop bending and spreading for big corporations.

*applauds Bass's rule*
And yes, I do make exceptions to my opinion of gun users for those of us who never learned how to handle ourselves in close combat... although a good fist to the windpipe could stop a home invasion just as well if the victim is capable of killing with their bare hands.
