Since I showed up, apparently. My sister had a couple of albums (or maybe just 1, I don't remember) and they/it were/was pretty good.
Just a question... have you ever heard of Black Rebel Motorcycle Club? Or Toad the Wet Sprocket? No one else I've met has, so I've officially declared them The Best Bands No One Has Ever Heard Of.

I have 2 Toad The Wet Sprocket CDs... but no, I've never heard of Black Rebel Motorcycle Club. BTW, on your sister's CD did the Sneaker Pimps have a male or female singer? Because they did their first album with all-female vocals, and then on their next album (that I bought, anyway -- there's a four-year gap between copyright dates, so they might have released another one in between), the singer is a guy (who you might like anyway, because he sounds like the Oasis singer sometimes). Anyway, I was just wondering which singer you'd heard.

Sweet. Which ones? My mom has the entire collection. . Look them up, they're really good. Female. Another question: have you heard of the Dandy Warhols?

Sweet. Which ones? My mom has the entire collection. "Dulcinea" and "Fear". Both very good CDs... if I ever saw another release from them, I'd probably buy it unheard. My dad actually bought one of their CDs a couple years ago... I can't remember which one, though, and I can't look it up since he has it at work. I like them, but I haven't listened to them enough because he kind of monopolizes that CD.

Yes, very good albums. "Coil" is probably their best. It was released a few years after "Dulcinea" and actually was their most popular, but I haven't seen it anywhere in a while. Oh, and a word to the wise: don't get "Pale", it isn't good.
Hmm. If I had to guess, I'd probably guess that he got "13 Tales from Urban Bohemia" (extremely good album). All of their stuff is good if you feel like getting good music that's off the beaten path, but 13 Tales and "Welcome To The Monkey House" are probably their best two albums.

yeah alright, I'll be the weirdo of the group.
1. AC/DC 2. Pink Floyd 3. Highwayman
but if we're doing solo artists, not bands, it'd be like so:
1. Billy Joel 2. Johnny Cash 3. Paul Simon

For all of you who care to know (and those who don't ), Oasis is releasing a new album, Don't Believe the Truth, on May 30. The first single from it, "Lyla" (I think) will be released on May 16. BTW, my mom bought the new CD by Mark Knopfler (he's the lead singer of Dire Straits, going solo), and WOW. It's amazingly good. Get it. Now. It's called "Shangri-La". "Boom, Just Like That" and "Song for Sonny Liston" are just... whoa. EBP: Merged double post.

I know you moved on, but I like to say my favorite band/musician is David Bowie
but, I'm trying to move into more modern Glamrock so...I'm looking at The Scissor Sisters and then there's 80's and Techno

David Bowie is good. I like one Scissor Sisters song, but I only know one Scissor Sisters song, so that doesn't tell me much.

Gorillaz is some good. I got their first album today, and I'll probably get the new one with some of the money from my birthday.
Also, my new top 3:
1. Oasis 2. Blur 3. Radiohead
