I'm not quite sure how you are handling the rping sections. Do allow all rp's or just certain types?
For example is there a certain place for Tolkien roleplays. And you guys seem to have a dfferent style than I'm used to. (im style?) Anyway do you have any hard and fast rules about this sort of thing?

You can start any kind of RP you want... it doesn't even have to be sci-fi or fantasy, although it goes without saying that those two genres are preferred here.  Also, the reason for the difference in style is because we've combined universes (you'll notice that during the current RPG we're doing, there have been references made to Magic: The Gathering, Harry Potter, Tolkien, Star Wars, The Belgariad, Jurassic Park and The Wheel of Time -- and later on, elements of Mechwarrior, Shannara and The Matrix are bound to pop up ). And besides that, it's continuing a storyline from The Conclave, so it's more convenient to use the "informal" style that we've been using for 9 RPGs there (all of which are, in fact, so informal that the threads were originally posted in the General Board, and just recently got moved to the RPG board). This is not the style that will be used with every RPG on the site, though.  |

I will... and I think I can get Eldae (who you know as Ereinion) to join in. Wildkarrde is, well, a wild card... he likes Tolkien, but I'm not sure if he'd get into another RP right now. Anyone else, I'd be a little surprised... although I imagine Belgarath could play a mean Gandalf. |
