And a new season begins! I'm hoping for the best for the Falcons. I didn't get to see the game against the Lions, but I saw all the hilights. They are looking MUCH better...though I guess that isn't saying much considering how they did last year, and they were playing against the Lions so...*shrug* I don't care if it's only 1-0, atleast it's a winning record for a change. As for college, I'm confident in the Ohio State Buckeyes, although that isn't anything out of the usual. I'm not so sure about the game against USC...but aside from that they should win most, if not all, of their other games. Yea, they looked a little bad against Ohio, but I have no doubt they were looking forward to USC and just weren't prepared. Of course, the most important part of the college season is the Michigan game...and the way Michigan is playing, pfft, piece of cake. Oh yea, and Tom Brady is hurt. That should be interesting.

Yeah, interesting's one word for it... I call it awesome, but okay. Lions actually weren't bad last year, so maybe the Falcons beating them is cause for celebration. For me as well, since Bears and Lions don't like each other much (and holy crap, we put the beatdown on the Colts! ). I don't really follow college football very much... I know I like the Tarheels, and that's it. They're probably not even in Ohio State's conference. But meh, it's still baseball season till the Cubs have won the World Series so I'm not sweating football much anyway.

"Awesome" is a good word for it too. I can't get too excited for a 1-0 record for the Falcons though. What was it, 3 years ago I think, they started something like 6-2 during the first half of the season and I got all excited then the 2nd half they went 2-6 and ended at 8-8 I don't follow college too much either. I pay attention to the Big 10 and the SCC and that's about it. It was announced today that Chris(Beanie) Wells won't be playing for OSU tonight against USC. I don't really expect to win that game. It's a shame too because the media LOVES to put down Ohio State for some reason so when they lose this game we'll never hear the end of it.

Seems like all the Chicago teams I root for don't even get mentioned by the media... back when Brett Favre was playing for the Packers, he was all I would hear about for the entirety of Sportscenter's coverage of the Bears/Packers games (even the games Favre spent most of on his back). I'd much rather have the media insult the Bears than ignore them... at least then I'd know what's going on with them.
And what the motherfucking hell is that thing in your avatar, anyway?

I'm not entirely sure. I think it's an alien thing from the Metroid Prime games, but I can't be sure. I just though it looked cool. ;D
I've been meaning to change it but I'm too lazy to be bothered.

Well, it does look cool. I wonder if it's available as a Mugen character...

Possibly, although I think the main character of the game would probably be easier to find. =P
And DAMN! Those Dolphins really let the Patriots have it. HILARIOUS! I didn't get to see it, but I was constantly watching the score while I was watching the Bengals game. Funny how a team that almost didn't win a single game last year beat the team that didn't lose a single game in the regular season. They can't blame that on having Tom Brady out either, the Dolphins still scored over 30 points against their defence! ;D ;D

Yeah, it was pretty awesome. I caught the highlights on ESPN. Cubs lost their first playoff game, though.

I'm trying to be positive. A quarter of the way through the season and the Falcons don't have a losing record atleast. =P
And they play Green Bay this week, who have their quarterback(Rogers) injured. They might be able to get back to a winning record of 3-2, but I'm not getting my hopes up.

I remember being happy the Falcons won a couple weeks ago, so I assume they beat Green Bay. Thank you for that, BTW.
Cubs are out of the playoffs now, so baseball season's officially over. Bears look better than they did last year, but my crushed hope isn't up to the task of thinking they'll do anything useful.

Yea, they beat them in Green Bay. Falcons are definitely doing well this season, as well as the whole NFC South. Tampa Bay, the Falcons, and the Panthers are all 4-2 and the lowest ranked team in the division, the Saints, are still doing well enough at 3-3. It's very solid...which kind of sucks. Any other year and the Falcons would be at the top by a long shot...instead they are 4-2 and 3rd in the division. I don't mind though, even though they are divisional rivals I don't mind seeing Tampa Bay and the Panthers do well. The Saints can go to hell though... ;D

Haha, that game was pretty intense. I actually got to watch it! Check the TV board on The Conclave. I posted about it there, including editing my post with "dammit" when the Bears scored with 11 seconds left, because I thought it was over... I don't think I've ever gotten so excited over a game before. I mean, surely when the Bears score with only 11 seconds left the game is over, with their defense, right? ...

Usually, but not this time. And we got beat by a bunch of sissies who can't even play football outside.
