"Adventure Quest" ad

Has anyone clicked on this ad yet? I see it all the time here, but everytime i see it i'm busy with something and don't click it. I was just wondering what it was, because it looked interesting...even though i have no idea what it is.

You make a char and then battle dragons and stuff, gaining exp points and stuff.

Not bad for a free game!

I dissagree. I played it, it blows! If you want to play an RPG, play runescape. Although slow at first once you get started and learn everything its alot of fun, unlike Adventure Quest.

Ape: You should REALLY check out Urban Dead. It's a text-based MMORPG, so no graphics, but it's still awesome (and, since you like horror, right up your alley).

I'll look into it sometime when my gaming schedule is less cluttered. At the moment my free time is filled up with Unreal Tournament 2004 and Runescape...and hopefully Titan Quest if i decide to buy a video card...hmmm...

How does a text based RPG work anywas? Sounds a little funny...

It's got a grid map... thingy, and you click on the building you want to go to (then click "Enter [name of building]") to go inside. There's an attack button with dropdown menus so you can select targets and weapons. Everything is described in text, kind of like a typed version of what a Dungeon Master would say in D&D (only more modern). If you die, you can be revived... if you're a zombie player and don't WANT to be revived, you can jump out of windows in Hotels and Office Buildings.

I've created an account and fiddled arround with it a bit, but had no idea what to do. What do you do to start? I moved arround a bit and attacked some zombies, not sure if they were "NPCs" or actual people.

Every character, zombie or human, is an actual person. What suburb are you in? It'll tell you at the top of the map.

Check wiki.urbandead.com for an extensive encyclopedia of the game... it has player guides, lists of groups you can join (wiki.urbandead.com/index.php/The_Wraiths and wiki.urbandead.com/index.php/The_Chudley_Cannons are my groups), and other stuff.

Edit- I see both your groups are rather anti-zombie I was going to be military related but...zombie just sounded much more fun...

I read some stuff on it and it sounds pretty interesting, my only beef is it seems to take forever to level up. Is there a faster way? 2 days of playing and i've got...16xp

Since you said you were attacking zombies, I figured you were playing a human... if I knew you were a zombie, I would have linked you to my third group, Eat The Rich.

BTW, if you go to Millen Hills, Shearbank, Barrville, Ridleybank or Brooke Hills, there's a lot of zombie action (and therefore very few barricades on the buildings). You'll have to compete with the other zeds for XP still, but at least it'll provide easy access to survivors sleeping inside buildings whose barricades have already been knocked down for you.

Check the City Map to find out how far away and in which direction those suburbs are.

Yea, i've been messing arround with it. I also discovered a new game while playing, someone had spray painted the URL on the wall. I started an account and its pretty fun.
