We just have to slip some birth-control pills into JKR's drink. A few theories: Harry and Luna were the only ones who could hear the voices beyond the veil in book 5. They were also the ones who could see the thestrals. Therefore, Sirius Black is a thestral. Zacharias Smith is the heir of Hufflepuff... there's got to be a reason an arrogant prick like that shares a last name with Hepzibah Smith. Wormtail, with his silver hand, is going to kill one of the werewolf characters. If he remains evil, Lupin's going down... if he's redeemed, Greyback will never see him coming. Neville Longbottom will be the one to defeat Snape. The boggart in book 3 had to be significant, and besides that Snape thinks Neville is a worthless moron, and will underestimate him. All right, I'm verklempt, discuss among yourselves.

I never did get to re-read the first 4 books so all the specific details on those are all pretty fuzzy...considering i read them in the 8th grade. I'm definitely re-reading the 5th and 6th books since i own them, then once their fresh in my mind i can give my thoughts and predictions...which will all be wrong.

Ok, i just finished re-reading book 6. One things i thought of toward the end is...
Harry Potter is a horcrux! There is not a doubt in my mind that he is one. Voldemort has never really TRIED to kill him, if you really think about it. And his Death Eaters ALWAYS have instructions to keep him alive. If you think about the prophecy, it all really makes sense. Voldemort knew Harry was the 'chosen one' to kill him. Do you really think that if it were prophesied that Harry would kill Voldemort, that he would go and try to kill him? No. Voldemort would have looked for a loophole, a way out of it. Making him a horcrux is really ingenious. Now, Harry will destroy all the horcruxes, and kill Voldemort. Then, Harry will be killed in Voldemorts presence to release the final part of his soul, killing harry and causing voldermort to return with the chosen one out of his way. I don't think Voldemort ever intended to kill Harry, it was just a very long plan to eventually rid himself of the chosen one. And if you think about the prophecy... "Marking him as his equal," because they each have 1/7 of Voldemorts soul within them. And then the "Each cannot live while the other survives" because they each of voldemorts soul in them, so they are somewhat feeding off each other.
Anyways, there really isn't a single bit of evidence that I've found that negates this. Harry is a Horcrux, which means 1 of 2 things will happen. He will figure this out. He will destroy all the horcuxes, he will kill Voldemort, and then he will have to sacrifice himself to finish him off. OR! Harry will do the same thing as above except Harry won't realize he's a horcrux, and voldemort will kill Harry, the final horcrux and kill everything. =D
I also think its still possible for Snape to turn out to be a good guy. I think he knew Dumbledore was dying. The ring curse was slowly eating at him. Snape could have let this go, but he slowed it down. I think he also knew that Dumbledore would be out to destroy another horcrux. When he went outside and saw Dumbledore extremely weakened, and begging, he thought it a sign to kill him, not a plea to keep him alive. Dumbledore knew he was going to die very soon anyways from the ring/locket curses, if he allowed Snape to kill him off it would allow Voldemort to trust him and it would keep him alive (I think DD knew about the Vow) so he could remain a spy for the Order. Snape even gave Harry advice when he was leaving. "You'll never defeat me until you've learned to keep your mouth shut and your mind closed" - Silent curses and occlumency.

So whose reading it!? ;D
I bought my copy earlier this morning. I'm only a few chapters into it right now. I saw earlier on the news, before I left, Rowling reading the book to a bunch of kids? I only caught a glimpse of it. Without giving anything away, just after reading the first chapter or 2, I think I can say that this isn't the kind of book I would read to children. o.0
Anyways, I'm going to creat another thread for discussion of the book when you are finished. I'll put a spoiler warning in the title.
