So, how are they doing turning the books into film? I think they are doing a much better job than LoTR did, the only real differences that I have noticed have been in the Prisoner of Azkaban, but most of the stuff they left out or merged was useless, so I don't mind.

I dunno, i didn't like the movies very much. In the books you pictured everything a little more... gruesome. And i havn't seen PoA yet.

hmmm...I love the movies. I mean, yeah, they leave a lot of stuff out, but think, if they put everything in, they would probably all be rated R and 5 hours long!

I don't know about rated R... well, maybe Goblet of Fire, because of the hand thing, but the other ones would probably be PG-13.

and my thinking is POA would have been R too, just because of all the suspence and stuff. but that's just my viewing hahaha I'm a tough critic

You mean him missing a finger? Why would that make it bad?

No, I mean him missing his entire hand. He chops it off for Voldemort in the book, remember?

Oh...that part Well, I would assume that they actually woulnd't show him cutting off his arm, probably just flash to something else and have him screaming or something.

aw yeah, that would be nice for me hahaha. I don't know, usually I can handle stuff like that, I mean, I watched the Mel Gibson massacre a guy in a ditch in The Patriot without getting sick, but lately...ugh, I just can't handle it for some reason.
But yes, Ghost Ship was very very graphic, and I only had to watch 2 seconds to have nightmares.
