I was just wondering if anyone here(all 2 of you) ever build theme decks. I have built decks around general themes but have never built a real theme deck built around something outside of magic. I made 2 recently, 1 around a CD, and one around Kronos, one of the gods selectable in Age of Mythology. So do you guys do similar things? Do they ever actually play well? And do you have them posted on eM so i can see? ;D
I may do a quick Warcraft one later. It seems easy enough given the fact that the creature types are pretty much already chosen (elves, orcs, etc.) Might be hard to find legend cards to fit in with the heroes though.

Try the gold legend cards from the Legends set.
And yes, I do build theme decks. A lot. I've got a bunch of them posted on EM... just check the decks posted by me, and about 75% of them are probably theme decks of some sort (whether it's a theme within Magic or, in some cases, outside Magic). I've got a couple you'd like in particular -- Temper Tantrum is an anger theme deck, and Best. Theme Deck. EVAR. is a theme deck built around cards that could be mistaken for references to male anatomy (Endless Wurm, Spitting Slug, etc.).

Yea, i saw. I had to copy and paste your name though because i didn't know how to do the N thing. >_< I actually have something close to that on eM too. But most of them aren't prublic/finished. I'm really bad at getting a cool idea for a deck, getting the core cards down, and then not being able to finish off the deck...without making it slow or turning into a peice of shit. -.- Oh, and the Male Anatomy theme is polluting my brain. Now whenever i play on Magic Workstation when people play cards i can see the connections to a giant penis. Pooling Venom, Sparkspitter, The Rack(Boobies!), and Treacherous Urge. There's so many. |
