Me? Trying to revive the Magic boards? No way >_> essentialmagic.com/decks/View.asp?ID=569130This is how the decks that I play with in person look like. Feel free to laugh, my collection blows. I actually took this apart to make a complete burn deck, but there it is anyways. *shrug*

I like the idea of using black in a burn deck. Like you said, it could be better... so I'm going to give you a shopping list.
Lightning Bolt (4) Soul Burn Vicious Hunger Fireball and/or Disintegrate (Kaervek's Torch is also good, though harder to find)
These were all commons when they first came out, so if you find a store that sells old cards (which I know is difficult in Ohio, but hey, it's possible) they should be relatively easy to get.

I have 3 or 4 Soul Burns actually, they were just never in the deck. Dunno why. I could probably order single commons online, because I know there aren't any places that sell them around here (nearest place that even sell ANY singles is about a half hour's drive, and they only have singles. Beyond that, you're talking over an hours worth of driving to Columbus or something.) My decks would be a hell of a lot better if i wasn't just building from what I have, because I don't have alot of multiples of the same cards, which is a pain. You should see my attempts to make T2/Standard decks. They're funny because I usually only have 200-300 cards from the current set so it might as well be a pre-release deck.

Yeah, I don't even try to make Type 2 decks. To tell you the truth, I became disenchanted (where's the card link feature when you need it?) with the tournament scene in general around 10 years ago, and have only played casual since then. I use Unglued cards, build 250-card decks, mix Ice Age block and Onslaught block cards, etc.

Yea, I don't think I'd like the tournament scene either. Except sealed, that stuff sounds really fun. I like building T2 decks though, even though I don't have alot. It's alot of fun when no one you play with has alot of the recent set, so when everyone builds T2 decks they are always bad, but equally bad, so the games will actually still be close. I always like doing stupid crap like that. On time I was at the shop I play at, everyone bought a Starter Pack thing and played them right out of the box. Its amazing when everyone is playing 75 card 5-color decks with only 5 or 6 lands of each color. ;D My Cloudthresher never hit play though...stupid 4-green mana cost!

LOL. I remember back in the day I had the exact same problem with a Force of Nature. First time I ever played, I did it with all the cards in my collection (a 4E starter and an Ice Age starter), minus the cards with drawbacks (I remember I traded a Hurricane, a Pestilence, and a Volcanic Eruption because I didn't like the fact that they did damage to me as well, and a Kjeldoran Dead because it required a sacrifice... yep, I was a hardcore noob ). So that's... 116 cards, then I traded the ones I didn't use afterward (got some good shit too, a Counterspell and an Abyssal Specter among other things).

Haha, yea. My first decks were "every card I own of (color) + every land I own of that color" So I had 80 card green decks with 20 forests.

I still make 80+ card decks sometimes. Right now, I'm trying to figure out how to build a deck around the creature type "Ship", but I don't have any 1CC Ships in my collection, so it'll likely be a suckass deck (no creatures on the first turn).

Haha, yea, silly decks are fun. I have a deck that takes me several minutes per turn to do NOTHING. I just sacrifice things to add mana that I use to play things that i'll sacrifice to add mana to bounce something from my graveyard to play which i'll sacrifice for mana and search my library for an artifact that costs 1 which i'll play and sacrifice to search my library for a basic land which i'll play and tap for a 1 mana cost spellbomb which i'll sacrifice to draw a card...... all that for about 3 mana total and 3 minutes of time consumption. And just as soon as you think i'm not a threat, I pull off my infinite damage combo.

LOL. I've been on the receiving end of one of those... I ended a game with -58 life once.

Yea, I took over 2,000 damage once from an elf deck. He was at the other end of the table so I wasn't paying any attention to what he was doing (big game with lots of people) by the end of the game I saw he had like 100 4/4 elf tokens plus some creature that said Tap: Put X +1/+1 counters on target creature, where X is the number of elves you control. Obviously he targeted his Heedless Ones every turn. And I wasn't playing my zombie deck so I couldn't Noxious Ghoul him to death. Elf decks are so insane in group games, after they get built up they are impossible to deal with unless you have some Wraths of some sort.

Yep. I've got an Elf deck, I know how it is.
So... while we're comparing stories, have you ever killed anyone with an Ornithopter? ;D

I havn't myself, but one of my friend's best deck kills me with that damn thing all the time!! >_<
Its affinity, he uses nothing but artifact lands, ornithopters, and cranial platings + 0 cost artifacts. I get hit for 20+ flying by the third turn. -.-

I let a friend play with my Elf deck and he did 3,500 damage to me! Him and everyone else in the store couldn't believe it!
