I just went back to eM for the first time in about six months. I've given up on Constructed MTG, that's for sure. However, the Kamigawa block looks like one that would be extremely fun to draft. I'll probably draft once or twice over the summer, and I'll post the results here. If anyone else does anything similar (it doesn't have to be Kamigawa, either), feel free to post your results here as well.

I haven't ever done a draft. The card pool is generally too limited (even in Constructed, I only play Type I).

Oh, but that's the fun of drafting. You have to know how to get tech in good colors and assemble a mana curve based on what the people around you are doing. You also have to know how to send signals so you can get what you want. The limited card pool only adds to that: you have to be able to create something out of practically nothing. It's an accquired taste, I guess.

I suck at drafting! Even when I get bombs!

I love drafting. A lot. It's most of what I do in terms of tournament magic.
So I may be of some assistance here. Heh.
Any questions? Ask away.
And Kamigawa block is pretty intuitive to draft. Some things to keep your mind on:
1. Remember, colors matter again. Your deck isn't gonna be comprise half of spells that don't require color, so watch it.
2. Keep track of your spirits and arcane stuff. It'll be important in deciding whether to take the sweet spiritcraft guy or the slightly less sweet but still sexy non-spiritcraft guy.
3. This format is largely defined by 2-drops and bombs. If your blockers can't stop a 2/x or 3/x guy, they're not worth blocking with. If you have a high mana curve, you lose. Remember this.
4. Never, EVER pass Meloku. Splash him. Forget the other Splash, Splash him. He's better.
