Duradel the Mighty

First poem since...ummm...the last time i posted...a couple months ago maybe?


'Hail duradel, the strongest
worship you we shall
Command us, mighty duradel
and raise the men's morale

Task me with a monster
so i may prove my worth
Slayeth i will man or beast
above or below the earth'

Duradel reveals his blade
and uses this to speak
With the blade against my chest
he says "you are to weak"

Rising to my feet
bewildered and ashamed
Duradel the Great DISGRACE
Now has my heart inflamed
'Deny those who wish to serve you
away with the strong such as I
Duradel, it is you who is weak
fore i've caused the mightiest to die

Slayeth i have giants
deep within their caves
Slayeth i have demons
upon the unmarked graves
Slayeth i have dragons
whose bones i buried deep
Lest their fires rise once more
and cause the kings to weep

I have ventured in the well of smoke
to slay the devils of dust
And i have climbed the plateau of death
to slay the trolls of disgust
I have flown with the distant gnomes
to slay the brutal apes
I have slain mightiest of foes
amongst the roughest landscapes

What say you, Duradel
the weakest of the weak
What makes you so fucking great?
defend yourself and speak!'

Duredal, withdraws his blade
and stands like a man of stone
"I have slain the Kalphite Queen
with this blade and all alone"

A few tempo issues, especially in the middle, but quite entertaining. I especially liked the last two stanzas.

Really, really awesome. Is Duradel a character you just came up with off the top of your head?

Actually, Duradel is an NPC in Runescape. There is a skill on the game called Slayer. To train your slayer, you have to talk to a Slayer Master. They will give you a task, such as "kill 100 blue dragons" and as you kill the blue dragons you will gain experience. Duradel is the highest Slayer Master in the game, who offers the hardest tasks. I'm pretty well known amongst my friends for my slayer level, i love doing it. I thought i would be strong enough for Duradel a week or so ago, so i went to him and asked for a task, but it told me i wasn't strong enough. This is kind of an elaboration of that.

I think this pretty much proves how much of a loser i am though.


Edit- Oh, and as for the Kalphite Queen, it's the strongest monster in Runescape. Its to strong to fight alone, the only way to kill it is to team up with a few friends...and then its still likely you'll die.
