The first time I read it, I was like, Holy shit, they killed Frodo! They didn't, of course, but the way it was left hanging made for one hell of a cliffhanger ending.

If they had made it truer to the book, it would have made the movie like 5 hours long hahaha

The other books were awesome too, but if you have those two things in one book, not even Pellenor Fields can beat it.

The Two Towers I found a bit boring, with the exception of the end, and though Return of the King was good, I just liked the Fellowship better.
