Does anyone know of any good, ACTIVE RPing forums? I kinda feel like trying my hand at it in a more serious manner. (no offense to the 'clave or here)

Embyr Haven is probably the best one I'm on... it has a good, comprehensive variety of universes to RP in, each with its own different forum. And the site admin is really hot.  The House of Lore also has a good RPing section, although unlike Embyr Haven it's not entirely devoted to RPGs (it also has Tolkien, Harry Potter and Lloyd Alexander discussion forums). And if you want to help a new site get off the ground, Armadillo's RPGs is starting completely over from scratch. It uses the same format as Embyr Haven and House of Lore -- giving each different universe its own forum -- but since this new incarnation is only a week old we haven't gotten an RPG started there yet.  I'll check and see if there's anything else I can dig up... Wren's site has RPGs, but it's kind of dead right now and you specifically requested active sites.  And if you wanted RPGs set in specific universes, then Hogwarts Rising and RPG Castle are both excellent Harry Potter RPG sites.

If you're at all interested in Star Wars, check out the New Imperial Federation at nifrpg.net. Once you get past the tremendous amount of studying involved in order to be up to speed with everyone else, it's just about the best RPing I've ever seen. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me.

Galuwen's got a DOOM RPG going on her site, but it needs more characters. And Enelya's just started another site that looks like it has some promising RPing in its future -- it's here. Also, the owner of Hogwarts Rising has a new Harry Potter RPG site set in the near future (after the 7th book and Voldemort's death) -- it's fairly new, but things are starting to pick up there, and you can find the Pinata character from the PPU Adventure's real name there.
