*Not so much a territory as a nomadic group of people
**Discovered after the Fall of the 'Clave, buried deep beneath its ruins. Wielded by all the great protectors of the 'Clave throughout history, it bestows great power to the owner.
Bio: Bass was always a carefree person. He took what he did lightly and without any great amount of stress. His aid in the near-constant defense of the Conclave was seen, to him, not as a chore, but as a noble duty - a duty in which he took great pleasure. This attitude, as well as a series of events and good fortune, eventually lead him to be one of the Conclave's most powerful and respected members. Even still he continued to climb the political ranks and actively participate in the defense of his beloved 'Clave.
But fate would have it another way.
The 'Clave slowly started to lose their defenders. The population continued to grow, nay, it grew in leaps and bounds. Their defense could not keep up, and, as stated, began to dwindle. It eventually became nothing more than a handful of warriors protecting only the main territories. Then outlying territories began to fall. Communications were lost, and the leaders were unsure what to do. All citizens were to be evacuated to within the capital's walls. Within a week the citizens arrived. Many were frightened, and some even made reports of a "massive army" advancing towards the capital.
Finally, the fateful day arrived. The first reports came in around dawn - the capital was under attack. The enemies of the Conclave had organized and rose up together. Coupled with the well-known political in-fighting, they hoped to crush the 'Clave once and for all. The defenders fought well, to be sure, but the army broke through the walls and reached the central square. There the final battle took place. All the remaining armies of the 'Clave and all the armies of their enemies were fighting throughout the city, and their leaders clashed in an epic struggle in the center of the town.
At the peak moment of battle, something happened. Some claim the the power of all the leaders fighting was too much for the land to handle. Some say an act of God prevented the worst. Some even believe the very fabric of space and time itself reacted to the battle. Whatever the cause, a massive explosion rocked not just the city, but the entire world, and the entire world was changed forever.
Bass awoke many days later to find himself almost alone. Balkasior was alive but injured, and all that remained of Ape's faithful robot Bush was a head; a very talkative head, but a head nonetheless. Bush's head informed Bass that the land had been desolate since the explosion. Bass was destroyed. His friends had been destroyed, the lands he swore to protect were decimated. He wandered the remnants of the city for weeks with Bush's head. Bush tried to explain all that had happened, as well as possible reasons, but Bass wanted to hear none of it. He was a broken man.
Then the Oracle came.
He spoke to Bass of a prophecy, a reuniting, and a blade. Bass thought he was loony, but took the prophecy and spells anyway. It was not until he discovered the Guardian Blade - by chance - that he began to believe in what the Oracle had said. He discovered the Blade simply by falling down a hole one unlucky, or perhaps very lucky, night. It was that night that he became the Guardian of the Conclave and the Protector of the Prophecy.
His will rekindled, he began to rebuild the Conclave. From what little usable material he could find in the destroyed city, he built only one building - a temple. In it he housed the rooms that had been magically protected, and thus were not destroyed during the blast. It was built inside the shell of the former SEX Industries.
Eventually, the attacks began anew. With Balkasior, new spells taught by the Oracle, and his powerful new Blade, Bass began his defense of the Temple of the Conclave. He awaited the return of the 'Clave, as foretold by the prophecy.
Long years passed. The enemies became stronger, but Bass also became stronger. He learned the powers of the Blade to control the surrounding wildlife and even the very building itself. But his morale began to dwindle once more. Hundreds of years had passed and yet the prophecy still had not come true. Had he overlooked something? He could not know. Now he waits, as much for death as for the fulfilling of the prophecy. But he remains at his post, continuing his sworn duty, until one or the other should occur.
