I haven't done any of these... there weren't campaign settings yet when the version I play came out... but I've got this poll here in case anyone else wants to weigh in (Eldae, Armadillo, etc.).

FR's the only one I've played, although DL looks pretty cool... Is there even a ME setting? I thought it was a seperate RPG system.

I saw a ME-themed D&D book at Waldenbooks once... I'm really not sure how much they've done with it as a campaign setting, though.

are you sure it was D&D and not a seperate rule system?

It said D&D on it. I almost bought it, but it was freaking expensive.

I've developed a kind of hatred for Eberron... simply because every single new game coming out is set in Eberron, when FR or Dragonlance would be so much incredibly cooler. I need to find that ME D&D module thoughl... haven't seen it anywhere, but I'll keep a lookout.

I only saw it that one time, so I assume it's either rare to begin with or was just about to go out of print when I saw it. Good luck, though. I'm going to look for one too, because I'd like to get into an updated version of D&D.

If you are ypdating your rules set, I'd advise going with 3rd edition D&D... because 3.5 ticks me off. And, oddly enough, Eberron was the first new campaign setting after 3.5 came out...

Aw... no love for 3.5? Why? That's the system you can get the best Bard twink in.

well, a lot of the buff spells were weakened, and I can't stand the way they use damage reduction now. I tend to house-rule the paladin, bard, and ranger changes, because they needed a bit of an upgrade, but I also don't like the new "based on size of wielder, the damage changes because they have to use smaller versions". I like my halflings simply using short swords, instead of having a midget sized longsword.

*exalts Eldae* I'm glad to see I'm not the only old-school player here.

See, that's why I just house rule in most of the class changes. Like I said, my main problem is the fact that I don't like putting more emphasis on material type than magical power as far as weapons. Since I seem to be overly fond of house-ruling everything, I tend to allow the materials to have a certain amount of damage reduction (shown by equivalent magical bonus effectiveness.)

Wow... I hardly even play D&D (the group basically broke apart), and yet I understand every word you say. Truly, I am the uber-nerd.

I have trouble finding people to play with here, too. Maybe we should get an online D&D campaign going.
