Ok, has anyone seen the movie? I used to have it. I watched it once and was kinda disappointed. You could tell that the dragons were computerized! That sucked. but yeah...I figured that since there's the threads about the game, I'd start one for the movie ;D

I really need to see it... but I've been putting it off because all I've heard are bad things.

It wasn't even worth watching. It was just gay. But don't let other people's opinions stop you from seeing it. You need your own opinion. I just thought it was very poorly filmed. If they re-did it, and made it actually look more realistic, then I'd be all for it.

I actually have an idea for a D&D TV series, shot as an anthology series (a la Twilight Zone), but with the gimmick that the storyline would take an entire season to resolve itself (rather than a single episode), and would be based on a campaign actually roleplayed at one point or another and submitted by players.
Then, the show would be recast (NOBODY would come back for a second season, at least not as the same character) and there would be an entirely new storyline that has nothing to do with that of the first season.
What does everyone think? Good idea? Or is the rum adversely affecting my brain functions?

@pinata: good idea, but I can't say yea or nea about the rum. I'd like to act in that ;D.
BTW, on the topic of smilies, can you find the Hey Shaddup! smily? It makes me happy.

I'll look around for it... never seen it before, though.

I actually like that idea of doing it as a TV show... after all, there's always a big market for violence that involves hacking at things with swords and blowing them up with fireballs... now where would we get a petition started to get that going?
And also, would it be 'set in D&D world', or would it be 'people playing D&D, showing their characters but occasionally flashes of what happend at the gaming table'?

I was actually thinking it would resemble Hercules, Xena, et al.
