I've been keeping my eye on this one. It's looking very good. It won't be out for beta yet until next year. It was supposed to be out this year, but they wanted to make sure it was good and ready before people started playing. I think they were adding more features, and working out bugs.

MMORPG...I like those games, but I hate paying for them on a monthly basis...Any idea if this one will be a pay-per-month game also Wren?

I'm almost positive it is... in fact, the only non-pay-monthly mmorpg I've found (that actually looks to be any good) is called Guild Wars. I really need to ssmack some sense into the ME Online guys.

Yep for sure it will cost money. I haven't heard any hard and fast figures for how much though, at this point its pure speculation. It would be cool to get in on the beta though, that should be free. I haven't played guild wars. The free ones I've played: MU Priston Tale (no longer free) Rune Scape Risk Your Life. Risk Your Life is pretty nice, but seems to be a little buggy right now. But I suppose you have to expect this when its in beta. lol price you pay for a free game.

I've played PT and Runescape. PT was OK, but lacked depth. (and you now have to pay). Runescape= horrible. I've never played those other two.

MU is pretty populuar, but alot like Priston tale. The main difference is you can level faster. I also liked the graphics of Priston Tale better.
Anyway, I don't play MU anymore. After level 70 it got boring. I made a few friends on those sorts of games, but most of the players were umm.. scary to put it mildly.
I liked the idea in Runescape of learning crafts and building upon your skills, but it was so repetitive. not to mention crowded.

MEO has had its name changed to LotRO, and is being made by Turbine.. the same people who made DDO (and they should be smacked upside the head for using 3.5 and Eberron.)

*gasp* LIES!!!! I play the game all the time and it is very addicting. It is kind of boring at first though, and i wasn't very inspired to play it until i found out alot of my friends played it and then it became sort of a competition. Anyways, i think the game is great it just has a slow learning curve and a HUGE amount of content that takes awhile to learn. Also its free and its browser based...best free MMORGP ever!! *realizes he replying to a post made 2 years ago* ...oh welll. -.- Oh yea, and i know nothing about this game but a LotR MMORPG sounds like it would be VERY fun...but i won't be able to play it...my computer sucks. And even if it was better, i'd play World of Warcraft before this. *shrug*
