At the dawn of all time a book was written in the language of the gods. It prophesized a coming that would change the modern world. In a time when the earth had become neglected and been destroyed she would rise to save what had fallen. With thunder she will come. Born of earth, water, fire and air, with thunder she will save them all. She will teach them all how to listen, sing the earths wild song, and when she has done all she came to do, with thunder she will go. This book was made out of the finest spiders silk. The script was written from angels bloody tears, by a feather fallen from a ravens wing while during the hatching of its first chick. When the first man was born from the womb of the earth queen Gaia the book was hidden in a place only one man would know where to find, when the time came. Only he would be able to read the sacred text. For when the text was read aloud she would arrive.
2007.
Lee was alone for the week, his mom and Glen had taken off to Morocco. The news was on, the war was still raging, and the Amazon forest was lost, didn’t they see they were suffocating the planet. The o zone layer had increased in was now covering Canada and Australia, there was so much death, numerous hurricanes and tornados had devastated major parts of the west and as for the east flash flood has left every one homeless and dying. It was not good. He quickly finished his pot noodle and picked the phone up when he heard some sort of noise. As quickly as it had started it stopped. He dialed his friend’s number, no answer but that noise was back. What the hell was it? Lee was faced with a choice, French homework or the noise. The noise won, he followed it up past the old wood, through the stone arches to the cavern. When Lee was younger the Cavern was subject to many old wives tales, witches do there dark magick in there and if you go in they’ll take your soul and feed it to the devil. Year later after discovering his Wiccan side Lee was fully aware that such wives tales were nonsense. But still in the dimming light it was only natural to hesitate slightly; as he had come closer to the cavern the noise had become louder and more insistent. He was meant to go in and he was meant to go in now. Steadily he creped in, there was a musty smell of damp and huge sense of anticipation. What was he going to find. He carried on through the cavern until he came to a dead end. Lee laughed at him self what did he expect to find, a dead body. He leaned back on the wall only to feel the wall give way behind him; He was stuck in a pitch black room What was he going to do, he took one step forward and all of a sudden there was light. In the room there was one single chest, great treasure. He looked around the room to see some kind of hieroglyphics. They seamed to tell of a book and a woman and great magick. There was a boy, one who believed. Lee could not believe it he looked at the chest, should he take it. Yes if only for compensation for all the harm he had been caused, and after all it obviously didn’t belong to anyone. SO that settles it the chest and what ever in it was his.
When Lee got home it was pitch black, he left a message for his friend to call by his tomorrow, and that he’d found something. At that he went to bed, something told him he would need his strength to open the chest. That night Lees head was filled with thoughts of a girl, she was amazing; she had pale skin and long wild black hair. She was standing there looking at him; there was so much fire in her intense green eyes. She said nothing to him but he knew her name was Aradia. He woke up the next morning feeling a strong sense of peace and of confidence. He got up showered and dressed. During breakfast he heard a friendly knock at the door just before he saw Jennifer’s friendly face. She approached him before saying
“So what ya found?”
He signalled to the room where the chest lay on the floor. Her eyes widened with shock.
“Where did ya find it?”
“The cavern”
Jen nearly chocked
“And what were you doing
In the cavern?”
Lee smiled he loved shocking her,
“That’s the thing it called me to it.”
“Shall we open it?”
“Yeah, come on, well do it in the old Hallowell place.”
Lee picked it up and carried it to the old house. No one spoke. They opened it and looked in it. At that exact moment a thunderstorm rose, the heaven just opened and the down pour began. There was a book, a pendent and five quite large crystals. Out of pure habit Jen placed the crystals in a circle. Lee picked up the book and opened it he immediately taken back, Jen joined him.
“I wonder what it says.”
All of sudden Lee starts to read,
At that point the crystals began to glow with a bright golden light. Lee carried on reading,
“È quella divine. Le streghe della regina. Tutto il potente, con fuoco nei suoi occhi, vento in suoi capelli ristabilirà l'ordine a dove il caos regola."
The golden light had changed one in to fire, one in to earth, one in to water, one in to wind but the last remained as light, only it was white and comforting. They joined at the top which pushed all of them down towards the ground only when they touched the floor they became a woman. Not any woman it was Aradia. Her wild hair lay loose down her back, her piercing eyes smiled warmly at Lee.
