I don't care what I eat, as long as I don't actually have to observe Thanksgiving... it's too religious for me.

Thanksgiving's religious? Go figure.
I've already had it. I ate turkey. It was good. End of story.

Indeed. We Canadians celebrate Thanksgiving when the actual harvest happens.

so what is the deal with Thanksgiving, I know it's about Pilgrims but what exactly?

It's a day to tell god what you're thankful for, as I understand it. The pilgrims started it when they had an abundance of food one year, and therefore had much to be thankful for. I don't like it because my parents always try to make me say grace before eating, even though they know god and I are not on speaking terms.

Yeah, Piññy and God aren't real close.
They used to be, but then God borrowed $20 that he never gave back. Piññy then forgot to pick God up from work one day like he said he'd do, and God had to walk through the rain 4 miles to home. After some angry words, they stopped being friends. Then God slept with Candybag's woman, did doughnuts in his yard, and left. They've not seen or spokent to each other since.
